In 2024, ALP contracted the University of Hawaiʻi Community Design Center to provide proof of concept services to support the statewide growth of Alternative Learning Centers (ALCs). These services include research on best practices, field visits, stakeholder engagement (talk stories, surveys, workshops with teachers and students), and other explorations needed to develop proof of concept designs for each program site.
